I've been a DJ since 1996, and as I developed my own skills, I decided to write everything down, for future reference. When I joined the internet revolution, it came with 15Mb of space, so I just put all my DJ articles online, so I could see them when, and wherever I wanted. Little did I know that other people would look at them!
So, over the course of the next 10 years, I've helped hundreds (according to the hit-counter on the site, MILLIONS) of new DJs develop their skills, and have always been very proud of my own mark on the DJ world.
Then, in 2006, I got in touch with the people who make the popular 'For Dummies' series of books, and chancing my arm, asked them if they'd like to work together to release a DJing volume in their series. Who knew they'd say yes!!?!?!?! Just under a year later, I released DJing for Dummies.
The website that this is all based on is still there, still active, and still helps hundreds of DJs every day and thousands every month. If you'd like to check it out, go to www.recess.co.uk
